Kevin L. Stitely, M.D. is a board-certified general surgeon with an office in Easton, Md. Dr. Stitely's practice focuses on general surgery including advanced laparoscopic procedures of the gastrointestinal tract, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, surgery of the gall bladder and bile ducts, and hernia surgery. Previously, he worked at Shore Health System where he served as chief and vice chief of surgery, medical director of the Vascular Center at Memorial Hospital of Easton, and medical director of Shore Surgical Care. A former Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy, he held previous teaching positions at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, CA. Dr. Stitely was also part of Fleet Surgical Team 1 and a trauma surgeon at Mercy Hospital in San Diego, CA. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Society for Vascular Ultrasound, American Medical Association and The Maryland State Medical Society. Dr. Stitely has been awarded the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Sea Service Ribbon and National Defense Service Ribbon. He was named a "Top Doc" by What's Up Eastern Shore. Dr. Stitely earned his bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA. He studied synthetic organic chemistry at the University's graduate school and earned his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He began residency in general surgery at Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh, PA and finished residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Loma Linda, CA.
