Who Is a Candidate for Revisional Weight Loss Surgery?

You may be a candidate for revisional weight loss surgery if you have:

Recurring nausea and vomiting.
Chronic diarrhea.
Abdominal pain and cramping that negatively impacts your life.
Malnutrition.
Severe gastric reflux.
Failure to lose weight as expected (this usually means losing less than 50% of excess weight).

In most cases, patients get revisional weight loss surgery at least a year after the initial surgery. Some patients may not experience complications until five, 10 or more years later.
