Teymi-Elise DeShay Herring, MPH, RDN, CDCES, is a registered dietitian nutritionist and diabetes care and education specialist. She earned a master’s in public health nutrition from the Loma Linda University School of Public Health.
Teymi has spent time working in hospitals, outpatient clinics, and private health programs. She also worked as a public health nutritionist with the City of Long Beach, CA and as a didactic program in dietetics program director and dietitian guiding students and seeing patients on a university campus.
With her keen interest in guiding patients with diabetes who are ready to make changes in their own health trajectory, she utilizes patient-focused coaching sessions designed to support your goals and desires to improve life, nutrition, health and prevent disease progression.
She has witnessed firsthand improvements in patient biomarkers and motivation and most importantly, quality of life. Education is essential in fostering behavioral changes and Herring believes anyone can improve his or her own health with her help.
Music is one way Teymi, her husband and their two daughters enjoy time together. Teymi plays violin with various ensembles and orchestras in her spare time and teaches beginning violin to young learners.
