Pedram Javanmard, MD, completed his internal medicine residency and chief residency at SUNY Stony Brook University Hospital in Long Island, New York. He then moved to New York City to finish his clinical fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes and bone diseases at The Mount Sinai Hospital.
Dr. Javanmard takes pride in providing excellent patient-centered care. He prioritizes clear and open communication during and between visits. Dedicated to managing his patients in an effective, evidence-based and compassionate manner, he also actively mentors and educates medical students, residents and fellows.
With nearly two dozen highly cited, peer-reviewed journal articles and numerous presentations at international conferences, Dr. Javanmard has made significant contributions to internal medicine and endocrinology. His work includes research on diabetes, bone disease, hyperparathyroidism and pituitary disease. He is also the lead author of a highly cited book chapter on Cushing Syndrome.
Dr. Javanmard finds fulfillment in treating patients from diverse backgrounds and addressing a wide range of endocrine-related diseases. Outside of his clinical practice, he enjoys traveling, watching films, staying active outdoors and spending quality time with his wife and their two children.
