Amanda Toomer, DPT

Amanda Toomer, PT, earned her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from Rowan University, and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Rutgers University. As a physical therapist at AAMG Physical Therapy – Odenton, she specializes in outpatient orthopedics and works with post-operative surgical patients. Amanda likes having a big impact on people’s lives, and seeing them progress toward the activities they enjoy. She also greatly appreciates the team atmosphere at AAMC where she can draw on the collective wisdom of therapists and medical doctors to improve her patients’ care.    Amanda prides herself on being a good listener. Since no two patients are the same it’s critically important to hear their needs and concerns. That’s how she can most effectively create an individualized treatment plan to help them meet their goals and get them back to functioning normally again. In her spare time, Amanda likes to cuddle up with her fur babies (a dog and cat) or get outdoors for hiking and kayaking.
