Amer Aldamouk serves as a core faculty member in the internal medicine residency program at Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD. He obtained his medical M.D. degree from the Faculty of Medicine at Damascus University in Damascus, Syria. He is a dedicated educator and medical professional with a passion for enhancing the field of health professions education. He completed the Master of Education in Health Professions (MEHP) program at Johns Hopkins University, where he experienced tremendous enthusiasm and gained invaluable knowledge. Amer's expertise and dedication have been recognized locally and nationally. Locally, he proudly received a post-master certificate in Evidence-Based Teaching from Johns Hopkins University. Nationally, he was honored with the title of The Young Achiever of the Year by The American College of Physicians (ACP) in both 2018 and 2019. He also received Resident Teacher of the Year and Resident Researcher of the Year awards from Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Internal Medicine Residency Program, as well as first-place awards in research poster presentations.

Dr. Aldamouk has a keen interest in curriculum development, instructional strategies, and high-value care in medical education. He has also held leadership positions, such as Hospitalist Associate Director at Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center in Richmond, VA. Currently, Dr. Aldamouk plays a key role as a member of the Path to Success Committee, co-director of the Clinical Educator Track, and director of the High-Value Care Curriculum. He holds the academic rank of Assistant Professor of Medicine at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, as well as Adjunct Faculty at Johns Hopkins University School of Education.

Amer is interested in classical music and is currently pursuing the goal of learning piano playing. Apart from his musical pursuits, he enjoys cooking, hiking, and traveling. He is a firm believer in fostering a culture of excellence. Amer strives to promote innovative teaching methodologies and continuously improve the learning experience for healthcare professionals. Amer's diverse background, encompassing both clinical practice and medical education, equips him with a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare industry. This well-rounded perspective allows him to approach challenges from various angles and propose effective solutions.
